What is Adventure?
Early Survey Findings
Following a small flurry of activity, I’ve downloaded some early results from our ‘What is Adventure survey?’ Thanks to everyone who’s participated so far. More views welcome!
We asked you which of 6 definitions of adventure you agreed with, based upon our feature ‘What is Adventure?’ And you said:
So what does this tell us? Well, I see three things:
- Most people relate to more than one of the definitions offered, often three or more. Maybe adventure can take on many different guises for each of us. We can adventure in different ways at different times.
- The chart looks quite flat with no single definition that really stands out. Adventure does seem to be a unique and personal experience.
- The top three are doing something new, something thrilling, somewhere new. Perhaps novelty, emotion and excitement are key elements of adventure experiences.
What do you think? If you’ve got 2 minutes, why not take the survey and tell us.
Or if you’re not the survey type, why not leave us comment below or join the discussion on The Family Adventure Project FaceBook page.
