A real tonic, but where’s the gin?

A real tonic, but where’s the gin?

We had heard about the mythical G & T (gin and tonic) stash from other mystic travellers on The Road but thought nothing more of it, especially after the disappointment at the fountain of wine. That cost us dearly.

But then as we wild camped at a rest spot near El Burgo de Ranero the boys complained of a smell of gin. Don’t ask how they know that smell. And as we investigated, under the tree we found a dozen unopened bottles of Schweppes tonic. No kidding. Truly a miracle.

Well, half a miracle.

Where’s the Gordon’s?

And so the search got underway for the Gordon’s.

Although some have warned us off, telling us this journey is not about that kind of spirit.

Who are they to define my journey?
