Camping in the mist beneath the Col de Ibaneta
It’s been a long, hard day. Now we are too wet, too late and too high. Yet not high enough. There is no sign of the Col de Ibaneta. No sound of the tolling bell said to guide pilgrims through the mist. And so we must abandon our mission to summit and wild camp at 1000m. After hot chocolate we settle down to sleep and hope tomorrow will be a better day. Let’s see what the morning brings. We all need a good night’s sleep.
Tiredness sets in at the od customs post on way to Col de Ibaneta
