In the Adventure Capital… with toddlers

In the self proclaimed “Adventure Capital of New Zealand”, Queensland, we decided to try a little family thrill therapy. There’s not much you can do with a 2 year old but we managed to find something that made a really big impression on Matthew. When we asked him about his favourite moment of his big trip so far, this is what he had to say.

A kids view of travel

“My favourite thing was luging. We walked and went up in the sky on cable cars and at the top was stairs to go up and go up them until you get to a cafe. And you go out that cafe and then you go that way and then you go and get some helmets and then you go on some chairlifts and then go up and go up some stairs and give them your ticket and go across the bridge and go down the stairs and then you go through the gate and then ask a man which one and then you get on them and then you go wheeeeeee all the way down and you have a race to see who can get there first. Puppy most enjoyed it and I really enjoyed it so we went on it a lot of times, four times. And I am four. It was very very fast and I almost enjoyed it as much as Pup.”

More favourite things

“Another thing is I fell down one of the slides and I go’d wheee down to try and get Puppy and one time I could not but the second time I could, and I really like the picture because it was really funny. I liked it and I went whooaaaaa that I go’d too fast. Puppy thought it was great. Puppy really liked going up and down up and down and I most enjoyed it because I went really high and went up down up down up down and that’s all I’m going to say on that page.”
