What is a Maxi Micro Luggage Scooter?

A Maxi Micro Luggage Scooter is a backpack. And a scooter. And a backpack on a scooter. It’s so flexible and cunningly adaptable that Q might have invented it. If Microscooter hadn’t got there first. Hannah checked it out for us on a spy themed trip to London recently and reckoned the only thing she might give it up for was a Lamborghini. The stylish scooter

So what’s the USP? The Maxi Micro Luggage Scooter comes in two styles: a girlish ‘floral dot’ and more boyish ‘trainers’, both with scooter foot decks that match the backpack for the ultimately stylish kid. The scooter is one of the Swiss designed, rugged and durable Maxi scooters. The three wheels make it very stable, provide lean and steer scooting and mean the scooter and backpack don’t fall over when you let go. An adjustable handlebar means it suits heights from 110 – 152cm, making it suited to children aged 6-12 with weights up to 50kg. The really cool thing is its flexibility though. Your child can scoot with the special backpack clipped safely to the scooter, scoot wearing the backpack or leave the backpack behind and just go scooting! And after a few minutes instruction it’s child’s play to switch between modes.

The flexible backpack

The backpack is specially designed to use with the scooter. It’s big enough to carry school books and PE kits or enough clothes for a sleepover or short break. It has two separate large zipped compartments, each with internal pockets for organising things. It can be worn as a regular little rucksack or combined with the scooter handle to become a wheeled backpack using special wheels built into the backpack. It also has a special third internal pocket that allows you to load your scooter deck and handle into the backpack so you can carry your scooter on your back when you’re tired or where scooting’s not allowed. The separate pocket and pull out cover ensure dirt from your scooter doesn’t get into your luggage.

The verdict

So what’s the verdict on our Micro Luggage Scooter review? Having tried this out on our spy themed trip to London, we think it’s a very neat piece of kit. It’s practical, versatile and makes kids want to carry their own luggage. It would be a cool way to get to school too. What do you think? Is this the kind of travel cool your kids would like?
